John Naugle attended Lewisville High School as a member of the Class of 2007 and earned his Associate of Science degree from North Lake College in Irving in 2014. His career and community involvement have remained grounded in leadership, mentorship and creating opportunities for others.

From leasing consultant to regional supervisor
John began his professional career with UNIVESCO in 2011 as a Leasing Consultant. He was promoted to Leasing Director, a position created specifically for him, and traveled throughout Texas assisting and training employees at more than 20 apartment communities. His work included sales, customer service, resident retention, marketing outreach and property-management software training.
In 2018, John became a Regional Supervisor overseeing seven apartment communities, approximately 1,774 apartment homes and more than 80 employees. He was responsible for inspections, budgets, financial reviews, vendors, rental strategy, employee development and overall performance. During his first year, the properties and teams under his supervision met the company’s management, occupancy and inspection goals.
Full-time representation across North Texas
John became a licensed Texas real estate agent while continuing his multifamily property-management career. After several years working in both fields, he transitioned into real estate full-time.
Today, he represents buyers and sellers throughout North Texas, with a special focus on aviation real estate—including airpark homes, hangar homes, runway lots and airport-adjacent properties. This combination of real-estate experience and life as a private pilot led to the name “The Flying Real Estate Agent.”
Founder of Airplanes & Coffee
After his first general-aviation flight in 2016, John began formal flight training in 2019 and earned his Private Pilot Certificate in 2021. While still training, he founded Airplanes & Coffee in August 2020 to bring pilots, aviation enthusiasts and local communities together.
Now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Airplanes & Coffee focuses on aviation education, access, scholarships and community involvement. John serves as Founder and Vice President, helping guide events, marketing, public speaking, sponsorships, partnerships and volunteer coordination.
A long-term commitment to giving back
At 17, John became a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters. He remained actively involved with the young man he was paired with for more than 11 years, and they remain connected today. He has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Minnie’s Food Pantry, including traveling to Houston in 2017 to help communities affected by Hurricane Harvey.
John has trained at Hicks Mixed Martial Arts for more than 20 years. Martial arts has remained an important source of discipline, personal development and community throughout his life.

Since its founding, Airplanes & Coffee has awarded 26 aviation scholarships, visited nearly a dozen schools to speak with students, and welcomed more than 1,000 people and 100–150 aircraft at some events. Its online community has grown to more than 460,000 members across the United States and beyond.

John is a husband and father living with his family in North Texas. His personal and professional interests remain centered around family, real estate, aviation, mentorship and helping people become more involved in their communities.
